Dr. Emily Cormack is a curator and writer based in Melbourne, Australia who has been curating exhibitions, biennales and commissioning artworks in public spaces since 2001. Cormack has held positions as Artistic Director and Curator of The Melbourne Art Fair; Curator, Public Art at Monash University; Chief Curator, Tarrawarra Biennial and Curator, Gertrude Contemporary; Lecturer, Architecture and Design, RMIT University. In 2020 she formed Coupland Cormack - an independent curatorial platform developing strategy and creative responses for the public realm across Aotearoa and Australia. Cormack has recently published a chapter from her PhD in the Monash University text 'Let's Go Outside: Art in Public Spaces'.
