Elisabeth Vollert is a curator, social activist and cultural producer based in Bogotá, Colombia. She is Co-Founder and Artistic Director of La Otra, arte contemporaneo, founded in 2007, as a platform to promote interdisciplinary practices, art exhibitions and events in unconventional places, public lectures and workshops. Artistic Director of La Otra Bienal (2013) which included 50 site-specific projects and interventions in public space related to the community context and research processes. Founder of La Otra Maloca (2013 - 2017) an indigenous communal roundhouse in the city centre dedicated to the exchange of ancestral and contemporary knowledge, with participation of leaders from 18 indigenous ethnic groups, artist talks as well as workshops of contemporary art practices with youth at risk. In 2015, she was selected by Revista Semana: "Women who inspire" for her contribution to the arts in Colombia.
