Iida Shihoko is independent curator based in Tokyo and Nagoya, Japan. After working at the Tokyo Opera City Art Gallery from 1998 to 2009, she worked as visiting curator in the Queensland Art Gallery/Gallery of Modern Art in Brisbane, Australia for 2 years. Drawing from her interest in contemporary art in Asia region, co-curating, and the relationship between society and art institutions such as art museums and biennials, Iida consecutively worked as Co-Curator for Aichi Triennale 2013 and Associate Curator for Sapporo International Art Festival 2014, while also working as Associate Professor at Tokyo University of the Arts since 2014.
